Enrollment information for Santa Cruz, CA
Costs
Classes are billed according to a "sliding fee scale", where the total charge for each class depends on the client's income and reasonable living expenses. We charge as we go, so you don't need to pay for the course in advance (most clients pay their class fee each week and maintain a $0 balance).
Class fees for small group classes range between $25 - $35 per session, but may be lowered to $20 per session if you can show that you receive state or federal assistance.
In addition, there is a one-time enrollment fee ranging between $75 - $125, depending on income, reasonable living expenses and the length of the program.
Enrollments
All enrollment sessions are scheduled (you normally can't walk into the office in order to get started in a class). We try to have them available at a variety of times, but most time slots are during business hours. They are almost always completed within 60 minutes.
The most important thing to remember is to bring in these four things:
- Proof of Identity (e.g. driver's license)
- Proof of Income (or lack of income) for sliding fee scale
- Court, probation or police paperwork (if applicable)
- Initial payment of $100 in cash, check or money order
Also it is really important that you show up on time. We reserve the right to charge a rescheduling fee if you don't show or turn up too late (and don't provide us with reasonable notice), so please plan accordingly and let us know if you can't make it for any reason.
Almost all enrollments are held at our Capitola location. Please Contact Us to schedule an enrollment and get you started!
